Pet peeve of the day

Authors who die without finishing their books (and the publishers who publish them anyway)

Elizabeth Gaskell

Douglas Adams

Robert Jordan – I began reading his series at age 11 and when I was 27 and on the eleventh book of the trilogy (yeah, I thought that meant three too), he died with a further three novels projected to finish the series. Now I'll have to wait for the afterlife for the conclusion.

I think this may be the root of my commitment issues.
